The World of Ayurveda

I have been exploring / dabbling in the world of Ayurveda and have to say it's challenging but interesting. I have learned a few things that I thought you all might be interested in.

First thing in the morning I used to drink 8 ou of cold water. I have learned that 2 ou of cranberry juice (100%) the real stuff 2 ou of pomegranate juice (100%) mixed with warm water is sooooooo beneficial. You can drink warm water throughout the day mixed with lemon and lime. Of course, if it is 100 degrees and your body is heated then please drink cold water to cool it down. When I first heard this I thought yuck! Who wants to drink warm water. I have found that I really enjoy it. It also quenches your thirst more effectively because your body doesn't have to work overtime to process it.

Every morning the first thing I do is say thank you for another day! Then I use my tongue scraper which I LOVE! I then use the neti pot as my allergies are kickin something fierce. I wash my face with cold water and then I go to the kitchen and fill up the tea pot and boil. I use that water throughout the day. I only fill up my Sigg bottle a couple of times - so for those of you that are in an office if you fill up your 32 ou Sigg bottle in the morning and then again when you get home that should take care of your water intake (factoring in that you drink water at lunch). Bonus you kick the plastic habit, flush the body and believe me your skin will thank you for all of the extra antioxidants. See what you think...
